Sustainability is an important part of Air France-KLM's operations and the company's DJSI ranking is a receipt for this. Fourteen consecutive years, the company has been classified as one of the most sustainable airlines in the world and in the ranking of the year, Air France-KLM is the only European airline on the list.
Air France-KLM is committed to reducing its climate footprint and taking a holistic approach to sustainability. From sustained meals and airplane cleaning to investment in biojet fuel and reforestation of rainforests are part of sustainability efforts. In Sweden, KLM signed a letter of intent regarding the Czech Republic Mobile Number List production of biofuels in Sweden together with, among others, Södra, Växjö Municipality and LTU – something they were the first to do.

Air France-KLM has also set the goal of reducing its CO2 emissions per passenger by 20% by 2020 compared to 2011. This is the airline on the right track when the reduction is already around 17% in 2018.
